How do we promote Liberation Theology given that zoomers are overwhelmingly becoming TradCaths?
“Trad” Catholicism is at its root fascist and reactionary, yet zoomers (like myself) see beauty in the Catholic Church and are flocking to it en masse. We, as the left, need to be the ones to catch hold of this and steer it in our direction before the right gets a monopoly on Catholicism. We need to promote Liberation Theology and the teachings of the Catholic Worker Mivenent (Peter Maurin and Dorothy Day). Thomism is very, very anarchist and we should start there. Jesus Christ preached communism.
So how do we do it?

Not a thing. Religiosity worldwide is on a downward decline. It stagnates for a few years then it has a period of time where it drops, and that's been the trend for decades. However, young religious people are starting to go to the church more frequently.

Your graph is misleading as well. It's not that being religious makes you dumber or that dumb people are necessarily more religious, but rather that societies with higher existential risk (i.e. societies in war, famine, poverty, civil conflict) will both produce a more religious populace and a less educated and healthily developed youth. That's not an absolute rule however, it is merely one of many factors for religiosity, otherwise the number of religious people would be increasing worldwide instead of decreasing.

Also, other posters are right, Catholicism in America is not undergoing the massive renaissance of numbers. Convert rates leave out retention rates of converts 6 years later.
