im very ignorant on this part of the world - what's actually gonna happen to Russia when this guy kicks the bucket? is there a clear candidate for succession? will it be dramatic at all or just a temporary jolt? can someone who knows about this stuff weigh in
Most likely a joint Medvedev/Zyuganov coalition as Russia deepens its efforts to build the material conditions and serve as the sword for multipolarity and anti-imperialism across the world, especially as Trump continues to isolate the Great Satan from imperial entanglements
Its easy to think that all of the Western agents have been gotten rid of, but its not at all impossible that they are simply camouflaged at the moment, waiting for Putin to go before they launch their "reforms". I think its easy to gloat that Putin is the one holding back the more radical elements from truly expressing Russia's geopolitical ambition, but all it took was Lenin's death for Trotsky to reveal his true Anti-Leninism, Stalin's death for Khrushchev to reveal his true Trotskyism, and even for Yeltsin's stepping away from the public eye for Putin to reveal his true Patriotism.
