He’s similar to Ronald Reagan in that he’s a dumb but obviously very charismatic guy from Hollywood. You could convince either of them to say or do almost anything if you worded it the right way. But Reagan’s manipulability required a certain moralistic framing, he started supporting the Taliban after seeing claims that the Soviets were using booby-trapped toys to kill children and he also pushed back against Israel after seeing a severely burned baby photos in the Washington Post. Trump isn’t moralistic, but he’s arguably more manipulable, you just have to praise him the right way.
