This is an attempted explanation for how why MAGA people, AfD, and fascists in general end up the way they do, using my past experiences as an example.

For example, as much as it sucks, I would probably count as one of them. This is very wrong, and a bad thing. I don't understand a lot of things.

I am sometimes angry and feel alienated from the way Canadian society is run. I feel emotional and like loud things. I like the idea of struggle and force and drama. Also I am sort of atomized from community.

I do not have a strong intuitive sense of morality, and I had to build it through reason and experience. I have/had an emotional tendency to distinguish myself from others and feel superior. I generally think that society is declining, and that the past was a golden age in some ways.

I was radicalized multiple times over in my life, and had volatile political views for awhile. Now I am a liberal again.

Fascism is evil and it has killed millions of people. It's not and will never be a valid political ideology that works. I hate fascists, and I hope their movement will be defeated in Europe and the US.

So while shopping at the ideology store did anything change? Did you hang out with different people or something?

I think a lot of those guys see themselves as being like an anime character yeah. If you look at white nationalist groups, there's one layer that is a hardcore layer which is more criminal (and violent), fight club / MMA-ish and then there are these Harry Dresden guys following those guys around.

Ho Chi Minh didn't exactly write theory but he did say something along the lines that the people are actually intelligent enough to understand everything is fucked and be rebellious, but the problem is their ignorance.

If you have a huge mass of people that know something is wrong and have a rebellious attitude but are at the same time very ignorant then that means you need to appeal to their knowledge that everything is wrong and their rebellious spirit while also telling them their problems are a scapegoat's fault and that they can easily by solved by stupid means that will never work. They will believe it because they're ignorant and they'll be mobilized because they're rebellious.

That's why I said something about the "idea" of it, because probably I do not like the real thing. These guys may not either.
