Genuinely, what is the psychology of guys who like both Nazi Germany and the USSR? I've encountered quite a few of them. Some are Westerners, while others are from the third world. from what I've seen most of them don't seem to have any real political beliefs beyond hating the US. Is that really all there is to it?

People that are horny for tanks (regardless of design practicality) and killing people. Also they think the rest of the USSR was as reactionary and pedophilic as Stalin was, and since nazis are already reactionary pedophiles, they thus think the USSR was just red nazis.
If they just learned more about the USSR they'd realize it was too woke and reject everything of it except for the Stalin part.

its a rejection of democracy. thats it. Ask them what policies either enacted they don't know. Asl them what they like about them they'll say they were strong leaders who got things done to help their people. Clearly showing they know nothing about either as no one with any knowledge on them would attempt to say hitler actually cared about Germany.
