Can anyone explain to me why is south American just filled to the brim with reactionaries that their left has to work overtime just not to let a fascist get elected?
Why are they on permanent crisis/polarized mode?

Just optics. Western countries are so rich it makes any policy in global south look like a failure. 1% wealth growth in Germany, USA, France, etc. just dwarfs 10% growth in developing world.
