With AI now cutting so many jobs, especially in CompSci but other jobs as well that are normally defined as PMC and them now having to settle for things like working retail or fast food (at least temporarily before getting a job in your field), how will that effect the consciousness of these people. Now, the dream is that they all become class conscious, and they see the woes of the working class and gain sympathy. But I also see a sort of resentment and elitism that could form. Seeing the work as beneath them and resenting the regular joes that have to work that job full time.

I don't believe in the PMC revolt or even PMC narodnik, they are a demographic that's been brainwashed by non-violence and orderliness, they are asiatics. Theyll demand MAID before they do anything radical.

Today's trend of talking about PMC is like 40 years late because the part of this strata that matters to the left is merging with the working class or has already done so. It's driven by people who were annoyed by millennial leftists and their 2019 DSA con tier mental gymnastics, they were part of that stuff and now they want to do everything opposite and talking about based conservative post-leftism with petit bourgeois characteristics or whatever.
