Real talk, based on how he's handled New York, a Mamdani presidency would be quite strange. He wouldn't nationalise everything, but you might see China levels of state intervention in economic planning. However, to keep himself safe from any coup or whatever, he'd keep the existing National Security apparatus in place the same way he's kept Tisch. So the US would still be a massive arms dealer and still have a fuck huge military and might even still go around bombing a few places to serve itself, the difference being it would be in service of a far less capitalist country than it used to be.
