A thread for Brits to discuss green energy, the psychology of homosexuality, JK Rowling, and prisoners having sex with wardens

Also there's an election going on but everyone got bored of it a week ago because they go on for too long, maybe someone will do a cytube for it if anyone even remembers it's happening

1966 again. Don't give up hope.
>>598962
>theyll likely all be socially very very conservative just like galloway
Good. No more idpol. Just organised labour.
>>598963
>rat fuck Corbyn
He is better than New Labour. You have to count your blessings.

>>598964
>>598963
Don't knock Corbyn, he taught me a good lesson in why Lenin was correct and electoralism is stupid and being a limp wrist with reformists and opportunists is bad.

>>598927
Bri'ish women are underrated tbhq
t: connaisseur

>>598966
Well no surprises there with all the Saxon genes you've previously deposited here lmao

>>598962
They tend to be economically populist and anti-poverty BUT they also tend to be pro-landlord collaborationism.

>>598933
The greens have been campaigning hard in rural tory constituencies recently, you could see this in the lcoal elections, where thetraditionally tory voter base is easier is easier to convince to vote green against the tories than to vote labour + they can appeal to all sorts of nimby localism and opposition to any new development on the basis of rural environmentalism. Expect to see more of this as the greens become institutionally legitimised and right-wing along the lines of european green parties.

>anything less than Total Tory Death
Fuck off

>>598951
glad galloway lost his seat fuck that grifter

>>598970
agreed

>>598951
Agreed, good Corbyn won his seat, shame that Galloway lost his.

>>598962
This is a stereotype, if you look at the direction Abrahamic religions like Juadism, Islam and Christianity are going in, at least the followers, in a more socially progressive socially tolerant route for the younger population.

And Religion is more or less just a identity label for many people today, I do not believe most people who assign themselves to X Religion are devout, most will be agnostic.

Gaza and Palestine was the big issue today, this is not a negative, foreign exploitation can reveal the enemies here.

>>598964
Social conservatism is idpol anon…

>>598934
Brits really do love just cycling over the same two parties that are insistent on ruining their country lmao

>>598756
All you white people assume brown people are a hivemind, as if those who voted WPB aren't nuanced or might think Galloway should not have been socially conservative, yet his message on Palestine is too important, the genocide abroad reveals the enemies here.

And are there are no LGBT Asians, etc… retard?

File: 1720177173046.jpg (194.38 KB, 1080x1080, GRrb7YYWoAAXX1O.jpg)

Bruh…..

>>598978
What can you do, they got over 200k votes nationwide, it could be worse.

>>598978
He lost it by 3pts, he is far from gone…

For an election that was meant to be the death of the socialist left, actually what has happened is that 4 anti-imperialist independents have unseated Labour MPs, Corbyn beat off the bastards by a huge margin, and loads of tight 2nd places for anti-imperialists and socialists. There are hope anons,we just need to unite the forces.

There is no final victory, there is no final defeat. Only the same fight fought since the dawn of time. So toughen up.

>>598979
Addendum: Maybe they'll learn a lesson here and next time we can get a socially progressive left-of-labour party that can actualy peel off left-wing voters from labour or stop them going to the greens.

>>598982
If you seriously believe WPB would have got more votes if they were socially progressive - when their primary voter base are practising muslims - then you may be retarded.

>>598983
Yeah and maybe practicing muslims aren't a wide enough electoral base to achieve anything?

>>598984
Maybe not yet, but Muslim independents were less than 1k votes from beating Labour in quite a few constituencies. If immigration rates remain high, hopefully in the next election the Muslim vote will be strong enough to build a solid base from.

>>598985
>If immigration rates remain high, hopefully in the next election the Muslim vote will be strong enough to build a solid base from.
Think you might be the retarded one here lol

>>598974
>This is a stereotype, if you look at the direction Abrahamic religions like Juadism, Islam and Christianity are going in, at least the followers, in a more socially progressive socially tolerant route for the younger population.
Lmao this is the kind of absurdly retarded and delusional take I've come to expect from this board. What's happening is that all 3 religions (actually it's really more just Christianity, Judaism is half'n'half while Islam barely pretends to be socially progressive) have their leadership acting progressive to try and appeal to the mainstream which is just pissing off the actual religious people and causing them to leave in droves in favour of more hardcore conservative denominations. This goes double for the youth, especially Gen Z and Gen Alpha who just sort of go along with some progressive stuff as default because they grew up with it but don't wholly believe in it and will drop it very easily if pushed.

Why did lib dems gain so many seats? What reason does anyone have to vote for them?

>>598988
Protest voting by Tories who are probably too centrist to vote for Reform but nevertheless still can't bring themselves to vote for Labour without vomiting uncontrollably in the voting booth, even with Starmer at the helm.

>>598348
>But was she really an officer or just a swinger and onlyfans model?
Maybe, she seemed pretty experienced…

How did the electrician go? I did day day drinking instead.
Seen corbs kept his seat. That's nice.
Any other upsets?

>>598991
Sir Keir Starmer has just been appointed Prime Minister by the King.

>>598991
3 other anti-zionist independents beat labour, tories and reform did worse than the exit poll predicted, libdems and greens did better, greens got all 4 of their target seats. Turnout is down a lot and Labour pretty hugely underperformed the polls, getting only 1% or so more than in 2019, and a lot less actual votes due to turnout, with things stangnant or down everywhere except scotland due to SNP crashing.
They're calling it the most strong and stable majority of all time.

>>598993
>They're calling it the most strong and stable majority of all time.
It absolutely isn't though. The only reason they have the majority is because about a third of Tory voters went to Reform, and assuming that won't be replicated in the next election Labour will have to see a swing of around 10% across the country to keep their majority. Incumbent parties don't get swings of 10% in their favour. Labour are fucked in 2029.

>>598977
>All you white people are the same!
>Also how dare you think all Muslims vote the same!
I hope you can look at this and see the irony in what you just posted.
>But what about progressive LGBT Muslims?
Yes these exist in the UK but everyone knows they are a very small group within the wider British Muslim community
Queer Muslims aren't representative of the average British Muslim.

Is anyone else here going to the Labour victory party tonight?

I really hope some of you have learned the lesson that the existing socialists are worthless and can't do shit even when everyone hates the system. There are real options there for us though but you've got to move past this rubbish and choose the hard road of building a real communist party.

>>598765
It was a foregone conclusion so why are you cursing the people? They didn't want Starmer but they got him anyway. Hating the masses won't get us anywhere.

>>598970
replacing Tories with Tories is lame

>>598988
1. they're not the conservatives
2. they're very aggressive about local issues. they're incredible opportunists.

>>598997
parties are the problem. even electorally. they invite the wasting of resources and distraction from fundamental, practical issues to focus on posturing.
Galloway had a party, Corbyn did not. Which one held his seat? Why did several independents make gains, while microparties did not?

even if you can't give up parties in the long run, in the short and medium term with class consciousness as low as it is, organizations should focus on immediate practical matters and not on LARPing.

Thoughts on both the Greens and Reform getting 4 seats each?
Does it affect anything? Is it as good as you predicted they'd both do?

>>598999
Corbyn's victory means ideological socialism is safe. The election of ceasefire independents mean that anti-imperialism is an electoral force in british politics. Independents were close to unseating fucking prospective cabinet members on platforms of anti-poverty and opposing imperialist aggression against Gaza. And finally the Greens elected three ecosocialists (cant speak for their North Herefordshire MP). This election was meant to be the left-wing blackpill, a final victory of centrism; i actually have hope that the british left electorally has survived beyond 2019. We just need to build a unified, if decentralised, party.

>>598995
Retard do you know the difference between Asians and Muslims, Many are and many are not, are all those who identify as Muslim even practicing or devout?

You are just stupid

The CPB result is so fucking shit lmfao, literally only one party got fewer votes.

I'm sorry, are you surprised?

>>598995
>>598987
The only thing you people show is the portrayal of Asians and brown people to be monsters and backwards, that's all I see and it isn't positive at all, fucking disgusting, be ashamed.

>>599004
not surprised, but amused. they made it clear they're opportunist culture-war losers for nothing. the least an electoral communist party should aspire to is being "principled but unpopular" and they've managed to be neither.

Not the way it's practised by someone like Galloway. Do you think LGBTQ is natural? No. Do you want to have straight pride and go to war with them? Also no. Just promote worker interests.

>>598994
>a third of Tory voters went to Reform
It's an absolute stain on the character of the British left that a similar phenomenon has not happened with the Workers Party.
>assuming that won't be replicated
It very likely will, because Farage is an MP now. Last time he got elected (to the European Parliament) he kept his seat for 21 years and only took 17 of those to get a referendum on something the establishment did not want to change. The only weakness Reform have is their reliance on his cult of personality, but they will live at least as long as he does.
The only comparable figure on the left is Galloway, but he is 10 years older so he doesn't have as much time left to build a serious party structure around him. Corbyn is even older.
>Labour are fucked in 2029
If you want this to be true you have to get some young talent into left wing alternatives and get seriously organised. It won't just happen on its own.
>>598996
You have blood on your hands.
