bisexual men can literally just present themselves as straight and their life would be fine. they wouldnt be feigning attraction, they wouldnt be in beard relationships, or anything like that. itd just be a normal relationship indistinguishable from any straight relationship.

There's a phenomenon I've noticed where a decent chunk of self-described progressive women are only progressive because they recognize the right-wing hates them, and the left-wing hates them less-so, not out of any genuine progressive convictions. This is why you see so many supposedly progressive women holding so many conservative stances. Unlike male progressives, who are encouraged to confront their own reactionary biases and beliefs (sometimes they do, sometimes they don't), female progressives can usually just run wild with them without being confronted. And this is largely because left-wing men are castrated little sissies scared shitless of being accused of being "misogynistic" by voicing disagreement with a woman.
The same phenomenon can also be seen with progressives hailing from other minority groups (I'm sure we've all witnessed the "gay leftist who would be conservative if they werent gay" archetype).

because the United States is dominated by two right-wing parties who primarily differ on cultural issues, there are many identity groups in this country who consider themselves "left" simply because they can't be "right." Most feminists, black nationalists, LGBT people, and others, all only consider themselves to be on the "left" because the "right" is sexist, racist, homo/transphobic, etc. Because identity is their primary lens of viewing the world, they keep the same liberal/right-wing sensibilities and don't care for actual Marxist education. The "left" has become synonymous with certain subcultures and this cultural milieu in popular imagination
