i think you overestimate the average person. they don't know what the fuck that's supposed to be unless they've been exposed to sneedy and/or femboy type grooming shit. not even most cis women who are on birth control (or hormones for any other reason) know what it is and how it works in transsex people.
if you actually put in effort, you can hide the fact you're medically transitioning to female. and if you don't, people will think of everything and anything to excuse any changes they notice (ignoring breast growth here, but probably even that) because they simply don't think it's possible to change ones sex by medically transitioning and have no idea how sex hormones affect the body.
