>nipponese artists, makes the most homo modern literature, full of yuri, yaoi, breddy much kickstarts "traps" and femboy popularity in the west and globally
<somehow rightoids still like them a lot as the anti-woke based nation compared to our woke socialist drag queen filled west

>>1601Joss Whedon has done irreparable damage to so many minds by making "it's just random" an acceptable response to the inability to grasp a joke, but that the next course of action when faced with a joke one does not understand is to attack for being "le random."
He singlehandedly spawned reddit and somethingawful culture.
>>1535Never underestimate how low humans can sink in malice or stupidity for that matter.
I do think japanese bl, gl, traps etc etc, are a net-positive in the long run. At least, it introduces and relates such characters to straight and cis audiences, this in contrast to the cookie-cutter white-bread cast of western live-action.
>>1729I like to think its' better in that regard with ease of communication someone new to their gender or orientation can talk to others like them, with all the mundanity that it implies. Of course this does presuppose a willingness to reach out, and that might be a bigger hurdle than actually talking to said people.

especially if you don't have the cash for it.
>>1729This is just downstream from normal misogyny which reacts badly when women don't constantly embody a perfect safe comforting nurturing femininity, and gets much worse when you're constantly consuming idealized versions of that femininity.
Most people who watch anime are normal (well, probably) but it's not hard to find weirdos who clearly ground their view of women on moe and bishojos and become insane because of it.
>>1828Sorta have a bit of this where I've been wanking primarily to furry stuff since middleschool so now conventionally attractive humans
–of all genders because I'm somewhere in the bi/pan umbrella–are kinda offputting.
