We almost got help with companies like GOG and Heineken, but both fell through.

3 months of vote counting to confirm 1 Mil threshold was passed and then 2 - 3 years of EU bureaucratic machine chewing through it
Here is the last initiative which passed in 2023: https://citizens-initiative.europa.eu/fur-free-europe_en
As you can see EU is still responding to their demands, communicating with initiatives organizers, giving feedback on their progress etc, etc

Also this is purely anecdotal but my country (Lithuania) banned fur animal farming around this time so I have to wonder if these initiatives don't trickle down from Brussels into national parlaments which make them pre-emptively comply
