>>2459people that talk about "male socialization" and "patriarchy" are typically speaking fascistic types who like to shame male behaviour because it inherently questions their fascist rule. The objective to most who speak of this is an "upper class" of women and "feminine enough" [see: wealthy, white, and attractive enough] men, who are protected by an underclass of shamed masculine people, ranging from 99% of cis-het men to a handful of butch women and a few trans men.
This idea that masculinity and maleness is wicked and evil while femininity is not is a clearly bigoted and wicked idea. Men will beat you to death. Women will get men to beat you to death. There is no difference. Men and women are equally trash, equally trash as people are trash. People are people, flawed and strange. Some men want to suck turds out of women's assholes [real thing i heard on a construction site], some women would give themselves up for a pedophile family-murdering vampire. Some men are heroes who provide for those they love, protect those who require protection, and empower everyone around them to provide and protect as they do. Some women are angels who show care for everyone, who ensure everyone is tended to and nobody is swept under the rug.
But the reality is that masculinity is shamed because when masculinity and femininity are allowed to healthily combine, necessary revolution and progress occurs, and this would mean for a lot of people who right now talk about "the patriarchy" that they need to go out and get a fucking job and be held accountable for their constant manipulation and emotional abuse.
You said it yourself; "they" don't like "masculinity" because it means you STOP letting people walk all over you. Be it a privileged white girl and her boyfriend from the same gated community, be it a cop waving a rifle for the bourgeoisie.
