Does anybody else not understand why they find guys attractive? I recently came across a video that said "straight men just dont understand what women and gay men find attractive in males" and it made me realize that I couldnt even identify what it is about men that im even attracted too.

I definitley know when i find another guy attractive, but I usually couldnt explain why. My tastes in men arent even very coherent, I like feminine men, but I also like buff hairy dudes, and I also like incels. My attraction to men makes no logical sense

>>4341
that's how work for most people, anyone telling you they like this or that type of body is just saying stuff. there are, of course, hegemonic standards that set the baseline, but every person is different

well hello papacito

London?

>>4341
You just have varied tastes. Thatis not incoherent, you're trying to find coherence where there's nothing to cohere to begin with. You can like sweets and fish, so you can like femboys and baras.

>there are, of course, hegemonic standards

I love men who can evoke emotion. Appearance is important, but it's enough not to look like an incel or a down.

>>4462
Sorry, I cant exactly remember, but it was one of hbomberguy's older videos. The main point of the video wasnt about what men are attracted too, it was just some side comment in the video where he says that men arent sexualized as much as women in video games because male game devs dont understand what women and gay men find attractive. I don't have the time to sift though all his old videos just to find that one clip but if anyone knows what video its from please lmk.

>>4563
I dont really get the whole "evoking emotions" thing. But id rather date an incel than just some boring average guy who dresses decently.

>>4573
Like kabedon from pic upper

>>4576
Maybe somethings wrong with me but I dont feel anything looking at that, or any of those otome scenes of the guy looking deep into the girls eyes. Is the feeling just attraction? Do you just mean that your attracted to guys who make you feel attracted to them? because if so, that goes for everyone lol

penis

getting handled

and uhh, getting… compliments?

I think sigmund freud was partially right in regards to this
The traits in men that we find attractive tend to be traits that our fathers have
Just look at how many women and gay men thirst over dad bods

>>4590
My dad was super hairy and fairly husky but I dislike facial/body hair and prefer lean guys.
It's more dumb pseudo-science. Freud was a hack.

Don‘t know about gay guys, but women are into security in a man and that‘s signified in various ways. Height, muscles, unreactiveness, certainty when approaching her or when leading her. This is the essence while it comes in various flavors to choose from.

>evoke emotion
as a mostly straight man ive had an inkling about this but i still cant quite grasp it. does the kind of emotion matter or is it just any kind of emotion? is it more passionate types of feelings? is this why acting like an asshole gets me laid sometimes? certainly i would think that evoking disgust does not lend itself to any kind of attraction.

My ideal preference of male physiognomy is the lean muscle type.
I hate how male homosexuality wants men to be roided out jocks or twinky girly boys

>>4341
The human male body is never given much serious definition for beauty
It’s always used for comedy or horror

People aren't attracted to anything. We're just deluded into being attracted to shit based on ads shoved in our faces. Take a child, pump him up on Victoria's secrets ads, and he'll grow up whakcing it off to scrawny female models that look like they survived the Holocaust. Attraction doesn't come from within you. That's why you can't explain it. It comes from the outside like a virus.

The majority of ancient greek men were pederasts who were attracted to 12 year old boys and married 14 year old girls. Why? Because they had that stuff shoved in their faces. Now look at a regular person's sexual tastes "buff hairy guys" or "twinks" or "big titted girls." These aren't things that actually exist. They are stereotypes that exist on screen that are curated by the media. They only come to life as real people through larping.

>>5499
but that's why i said
>i would think that evoking disgust does not lend itself to any kind of attraction
for me, people who act like assholes do not evoke passionate feelings but rather the same one i get when i spot some dog poop while out on my walk. is it different for women? this is why im confused. do i just need to annoy women and get them to argue with me and they'll want to sleep with me?

>>5510
>is it different for women? this is why im confused.
its basically about staying in memory, be it through exceptional looks, personality or money
>do i just need to annoy women and get them to argue with me and they'll want to sleep with me?
if you look good yeah if not youre just a chud, sorry kid

>>5500
I like lean muscles guys AND twinky girly boys :(

>>5499
God, i hate how men who are assholes get rewarded. I hate mean men so much

Behaviorism is outmoded and has been roundly disproven by modern science. The idea that everything humans think and do is determined entirely by outside influence is just internalized totalitarianism, a personal denial of autonomy and agency. It's also a lazy copout - you don't want to do the very difficult and scary work of developing your metacognitive ability to learn how your own brain works, so you just convince yourself that you are not a person, you're a parrot that repeats back whatever you hear and you have no creativity or imagination or will of your own. And it's a self-fulfilling prophecy - by doing this, you've basically committed intellectual suicide and you have renounced your own humanity. Nice going retard.

>>5511
>its basically about staying in memory, be it through exceptional looks, personality or money
i dont know, im really not convinced of this. if it we're true id get a lot more attention from women. or at least, it would mean that "exceptional" has a very narrow definition. i dont think women are attracted to a man just because he sticks out. i imagine it has to be in a every particular way.
>if you look good yeah if not youre just a chud, sorry kid
im pretty average in looks and ive gotten laid just because ive been able to keep a girl's attention. i believe that it would be more accurate to say that women are attracted to guys who are able to keep them hooked somehow, like they can't really just let you go for some reason or another. like there's just something about them that makes you want to engage. i think this is why good conversation can really turn a woman on in a way that just doesn't work on men. if you can keep a woman enthralled as a passionate speaker, make her think, make her laugh, make her engage with what you say, then she can definitely fall for you, this is why i think they often fall in love with their teachers or professors.

Something I was thinking about - the whole 4chan/reddit/gamer white male nerd subculture are vehemently opposed to the idea of empathy, yet they are so obsessed with "cringe" and always talking about how they experience secondhand embarrassment when seeing a person express themselves in a very candid way. They see some autistic kid talking about My Little Pony at school and they feel the embarrassment they imagine they would feel if they were in his shoes. Isn't that a form of empathy? It's misguided incomplete empathy, they're projecting their own feelings into someone else rather than trying to imagine how the actual person feels, but still it's an involuntary empathic response. Why would someone who doesn't have empathy care about some autistic kid embarrassing himself? Also it's strange how the "cringe" label gets applied to the autistic kid, who is described as "cringy", and not the observer who is the one who is actually cringing. Their bizarre use of language betrays what their thought process really is: "I feel embarrassed about who I am and it's your fault."

>>5574
Empathy is painful man.

i love male voices i think they r erotic and sexy

>Go into tinder
>me as a pansexual autistic male with age of 20, curly hair
>Wonder why i have 47 likes in maybe almost 1 week
>80% of likes are from middle age buff masculine men above 28 years of age
>Goes into grindr
>The same problem but worse
>mfw when people see me as a twink fucktoy

>>5574
It's not just "white male gamer nerds".
Women and ethnics also like to mock and patronize those they see a different

>>5574
"Empathy" is often assumed to be "compassion".
They're not the same.
Empathy merely means "understanding the other party's emotions/impression".
It doesn't mean that you like them or sympathize with them.

In fact, most of our dangerous predators or antagonistic behaviors are because of empathy, not lack of it.

You understand exactly how the other party operates so you use it against them.

>>5574
People often say "kids have no empathy" but then patronize/condemn kids for the slightest nuance.
Kids only lack empathy due to how adults dismiss them as pets.

>>5592
>Women and ethnics also like to mock and patronize those they see a different

you mean like referring to people who aren't white as "ethnics" and implying that white people are not an ethnicity but a higher species?

>>5593
>In fact, most of our dangerous predators or antagonistic behaviors are because of empathy

yeah that's what my cat is experiencing when he's ripping a mouse to shreds. empathy. god your mind is worthless.

>>5594
>Kids only lack empathy due to how adults dismiss them as pets.

ding ding ding. i imagine every edgelord on the internet probably grew up with narcissistic parents who tried to control everything they thought and everything they did and treated them like a dog.

fun fact: when i was like 3 years old i apparently became convinced i was a dog for like a year. i don't remember it but my family all says this happened, that i acted like a dog and slept on the floor with the dogs and completely stopped speaking human language. they all thought it was funny. then years later i grew up and realized my dad fucked my mom when she was 15 and he was 26 and abused her and her children for so long that her mind broke and she became permanently insane and dissociated from reality from the trauma and guilt and she now believes that god talks to her and evil spirits have inhabited me and she has gaslit herself and me and her other children our entire lives and turned my family into a personality cult centered around her and the only reason i eventually figured it out and didn't end up like them is because i was too autistic to go along with it and i kept trying to kill myself and had to be hospitalized and go to therapy a lot. but it is kind of funny that i thought i was a dog for a year. how's that for cringe?

>and I also like incels
Why? There's nothing to like about a literal Chudjak.
