I'm not posting pictures of myself but my (ftm) abdomen currently pretty much looks like picrel and my 0.81 whr makes me extremely dysphoric. I'm not anorexic but I've been underweight nearly my whole life, and testosterone just made it so that I have more muscle than before with an extremely low body fat percentage.
I want to avoid gaining body fat as much as possible because body fat increases your aromatization and I also don't want to get wider hips or lose any muscle definition or vascularity.
I've tried working obliques and it seems like it's done something, but I've only really gained in the lower halves of my obliques. Do I need to target the upper half separately?

Hold up, lemme come back to this thread after I consult ChatGPT

Afaik you cant make your waist thicker with muscle and low bf, you need some fat. Good news is that your fat will be distributed to your gut since you're on T

you literally need fat to make your waist bigger

Well if you are already seeing muscle gain that's a good sign you can gain more.
>I want to avoid gaining body fat as much as possible because body fat increases your aromatization
True
>and I also don't want to get wider hips or lose any muscle definition or vascularity.
Wider hips from additional fat depends on genetics and hormones, so you are less likely to have that issue on hrt. as for the definition and veins, sure that makes sense.
>I've tried working obliques and it seems like it's done something,
Bear in mind muscle mass takes a while to put on, especially if you are gaining lean instead of doing a bulk/cut cycle.
>but I've only really gained in the lower halves of my obliques.
Idk if you mean like the lower half of the muscle or like the lower muscles and not upper muscles. On any given muscle, the place where you put on volume is basically all genetics. If you mean different muscles then you need to identify which muscle you want to train (consult anatomy diagrams) and then find movements to do that train those muscles. You might be putting stress on those muscles too, just not as much as you were on the others (depends on the exercise). Some muscles also respond differently to training. Not all muscles will readily increase in size, and that's partly genetic too.

Additionally, you may not be considering this but the core is chock full of muscles layered on top of each other. You generally want to be working the whole thing anyway for strength and safety reasons (weaknesses are what lead to hernias and slipped disks and such). But the more mass you put on in any of the core muscles, the bigger your core will get. You may not see the definition because they are under other muscles, but they will still add overall thickness.

No you don't, although more fat will make the waist bigger

eat more.

>>4353
>abdomen
it's right there in the name
+ eat more
that's how you get a dad belly

Why though? I mean you mentioned dysphoria, but narrow waist isnt unmasculine trait.

>>4697
it isn't an unmasculine trait on its own perhaps, but gynoid fat distribution and bone structure after E puberty also tends to result in larger hips, which combine with the waist into one of those ridiculous pixar mom body types
and, if you're a trans male, seeing this shit in the mirror is akin to witnessing a horrific atrocity beyond your comprehension unfolding right in front of you

>>4699
But that pixar mom build has more to do with hip to shoulder ratio, rather than waist. Bodybuilders have high hip:waist ratio, but nobody would call them feminine.

>>4701
true, i failed to consider that one ;-;
so you're suggesting OP/other trans men possibly itt to focus on building shoulder muscle?

>>4702
Yeah, low bodyfat and lot of upper body workouts. And dont neglect lower either, you want tight and firm, not loose and flabby.

To further add to my point, in male fashion high waste pants are worn to visually narrow the waist in order to achieve more masculine figure.
Btw, does anyone know where can I buy black pants like picrel? They look great, but I have never seen them is clothing stores.

carry a calf around until it grows up into a bull

>>4353
obliques, just spam oblique workouts all day to get that chunky fridge phizeek

Do the exercises this video says NOT to do in the ab section. It was russian twists with weights and other stuff.

do ftms get boysmell?

>>5672
From what I heard yes, they do smell like shit.

go on youtube and look up Adeeflows, she has done free workouts for like 10 years. yes im also simping but you can't blame me. Anyway, all her workouts fixed me after I fell into severe depression and basically wasted away. just…look her up and see her physique and you will get it. follow her stuff for 6 months and see a booty and hips.

plus you will feel much more limber and strong. you will be flexible enough to do high kicks and middle splits. most people dont have strong hip flexors and honestly just being strong in this area enables you do crazy stuff with your legs. I forgot how good being in shape felt. when I was younger I was more athletic, did soccer and we ran a ton. I didnt get fat but I just died inside and then my muscles wasted away after my dad died. it was so bad I could barely walk.
