I think my egg cracking moment was when I first saw Vivian James because I was like "Oh I'd look like that if I were a girl, I wanna look like that when I grow up" and then immediately mentally shelving that due to not wanting to be seen as cringe. I think the issue with AGP is it overspecifies something that would be better described in broader terms.
Like I think attraction to self is just part of a normal libido. AGP makes a rube goldberg machine out of that by needlessly adding gender and the premise of "attraction to being found attractive"

The "AGP" symptom is just an example of the feminine psychology in trans women, not the cause of the transness. As far as the womanbrained part, it's just a common thing (and men do this too sometimes low key) for women to fixate on their appearance within the gaze of potential sexual partners. But that's not fetishizing yourself as a woman in the AGP sense, which is formulated as some kind of kink where you imagine yourself as or turning into a woman specifically in contrast to being naturally/assigned male. Btw there are also men who actually do have an AGP kink and get off on tg/tf stuff but don't ID as women and aren't trans. People who most closely fith the AGP model are cis guys who have a fetish for being emasculated by being turned into women, which is not some innate thing but a (misogynistic) fetish complex.
