2010s tumblr bioessentialism set the trans community back far more than 4chin coming up with self deprecating words to describe sex dysphoria and translate whipping girl into zoomer speak. /tttt/ spaces can be toxic and self destructive but they still believe in the mutability of sex while the other unleashed a new wave of transmisogyny that would make julia serano chuck her computer out the window if she saw what some of them were saying

The former had a hand in shaping the latter. The latter is a continuation of the former.

That takes a bit of digital grass touching to counter the brainworms, but yeah I do think people in /tttt/ spaces currently do touch digital grass more that 2010 tumblr girlies did. People were way too optimistic about centralized social media platfoms and search engines, particularly google, back then
Dare I say /tttt/ really wasnt that bad, most of the insecurities people posted about on there were usually valid things to be insecure about. People only demonized /tttt/ so they would have an excuse to bully insecure trans girls
/tttt/'s focus on hrt, especially diy hrt, makes it a "healthier" place for trans people than a some other spaces on the internet. I would prefer a young trans person get themselves on hrt asap, at the cost of infection from leaking incel/looksmaxxing particles than not, especially as hrt access continues to suffer attacks.
