I tried to get into it, I really did. I did several stints for my local FNB, helped take down fascist graffiti and flags around my city, read theory and still quietly alienated from group activities because I'm a weird trans idiot girl. Why can't anarchists abolish social dynamics along with hierarchies? Just a collective soup of people. That'd be nice I think.

*sniff*

>a weird trans idiot girl
That's by no means an anomaly among socialist orgs, especially anarchist ones.

Maybe you're having communication issues? When I have trouble getting a message across, sometimes I write an essay about it and ask someone to help me proofread it. Sneaks the message into their head so I'm not the only one saying it.

to commemorate this post here's Zizek having a discussion with Pussy Riot, idk if she counts as leftist i've seen multiple people claim they're not but it's interesting nevertheless.

>>7005

idk why but it's the happiest i've seen Zizek
also Nadya Tolokonnikova looks a lot like me for some reason.
imma steal her fit, cross and all.

Anarchism does not destroy heirarchy, it just turns it into a far more insidious social form that is more difficult to identify and critique. The party ensures people are not excluded due to differences in socialising.

I have BPD so I get a bit weird with my emotions sometimes and it makes it hard to make connections with people, even if I'm very clear about my boundaries and stuff I feel like my local groups treat me like a special case
>>7003
This is really disheartening, if you keep talking like this to people you might actually push them to the right more. One of the main reasons I gravitate towards left wing movements was because when I was a teen in the mid-2010s anti-left propaganda painted them as a bunch of emotional crybabies yet when I join up I see so more stuck up and privileged unrelatable people than I ever did on the right. I really think you guys should focus more on being kind.

>>7009

have you been kind yourself?

>>7010
No….. I'm not as good as I should be

To clarify my point with >>7009 I thought such movements would have people with more empathy. But the left has its own set of issues.

we need an offense and a defense; if the offense has a weak defense we are a glass cannon.
if the defense isn't capable of causing damage then it's eventually going to break.

>>7013
I don't think you should be expecting sympathy in imageboards, regardless if they are "leftists" or fascists. You can't get it but don't expect it

>>7003
Not OP but this genuinely made me cry. Ill always be too autistic to fit in anywhere.

>I tried to get into it
not beating the larper allegations

>>7003
>>hasn't noticed the "social" in socialism
youre a genius bruh, and communism is when communes!!

>Becoming a "soup of people" is effectively the ultimate consequence of unchecked capitalism.

yeah and thats a good thing for communism bc it paves the way towards easier association between proletarians :)

>>7009
>>7016
>you might actually push them to the right more
who cares about the politically impotent? youre completely irrelevant

>>7013
>would have people with more empathy
lmfao.. communism is workers acting in self-interest

>>7009
If you read Combat Liberalism and apply that to your interactions with people in your organisation, you will not have any more issues. Anyway disregarding the ridiculous anarchism, I don't think you would really be ready yet to be part of the party which is the vanguard of the working class, because to take on that role you need to have a stronger drive than "I want people to be kind to me". You should develop your resolve, and in the mean time join the mass organisation linked to the Party and people's army.

>>7037
I read Combat Liberalism and I don't think it sat right with me. It seems very strict and not anarchistic, it seems to promote a rigid approach to discussions and organising which I don't like

Sorry anon, all but political groups are social clubs, anarchist affinity groups especially so. If you want to hang out with the cool kids you have to be either likeable to them in some way or indispensable for some practical reason.
So you either have to work on your personal skills (Just be fun and nice to people it's not that hard fam) or make practical/theoretical contributions of value. If you can learn to do both I guarantee you will be valued and respected even if you have some quirks. Everybody has quirks and issues.
If you try your best and really can't make a connection with anybody then I'd suggest taking the initiative and working on a personal project or learning a skill that might be useful for the cause/scene on your own. Do a zine, make jewelry, screenprinting, music, hacklab…

>I thought such movements would have people with more empathy.
You can't guilt people in to liking you. Simple as.

>>7060
So basically take care of yourself before you try and take care of others? Easier said than done for sure, but fair.
> just be fun and nice to people
Nice I can definitely be, I'm way too serious to be considered fun though. Eh. I'll figure something out. Thanks for the input.

Anarchists destroy artificial hierarchy and affirn natural hierarchy. So what's a natural hierarchy? Ugly awkward people are lower on any hierarchy ex natura.

>>7062
>Anarchists destroy artificial hierarchy and affirn natural hierarchy.
Only literal anarcho-fascists affirm "natural hierarchy"

>>6998
its naive to expect too much of anarchos. they are people like everyone else, and no matter how much they talk about abolishing hierarchy and opression, they usually dont actually do very much. i think the vilest and most vicious social enviroments i've been in were anarchist scenes, especially when they overlap with student activist scenes.

things have a tendency to devolve very quickly into a sort of protracted clique war, and especially trans women become very disposable in those enviroments.

i say not to bother with the collectives or the organizing groups, usually they are not any serious kind of organization but just friend groups, which makes organizing with them or becoming part of the group less of a matter of being productive and moreso a social game.
if you can manage, just get your own friend group and stick with those instead lole

my theory is that most anarchists wants to sound edgy without actually being edgy.
or try to stay on that extremely safe "edgy"
