its not exactly the same obviously but the level of trauma is similar. now instead of arguing consider how someone might know that

While it's not meant to play down something, say a young rape victim who is not very knowledgeable about dysphoria may take offense, and with places like twitter well yeah its usally just cause more friction and headaches then worth. Honestly, I think comparing different kinds of things is not that useful sometimes, and it's usually better to instead explain why something hurts rather then just saying something is like another thing if you catch my drift.

I don't know if this is a organization or something but someone who makes light of that is asking for serious trouble, and thinks they're going to find like minded people and they probably will, in a bad way.

I don't really know too much on how diffrent women handle abuse, and i don't want to talk about it because it hurts me, maybe someday i can use the power i have to help them.

I can totally understand the impulse to compare them however, right? Something that is forced on your body, and despite how much you wish for it to stop it will continue. Provokes feelings of disgust, violation, powerlessness; that lines up. Of course it's not exactly one to one, I can see how a victim would just reject this idea on the face. At the same time, you don't know if the people making this comparison haven't experienced both anyway. It also goes both ways, I think. I draw on my experiences to construct my understanding of other things. I don't think I would be quite as fiercely for the right to access abortion if I did not find the concept of being forced to go through a pregnancy intensely horrifying due to my own experience of bodily changes I desperately do not want to happen.
