in my eye much of puritanism is revisionist and, even if you fully follow the doctrines it stems from, as they claim to, misses the point entirely. most of it is american for a reason. The idea that sex is fine in certain ways and bad in others, when the fine ways aren't EXCLUSIVELY for reproduction is nonsensical and fueled by outgroup neophobia more than anything else. Negative attachment to sex is still attachment to sex and therefor bad, and most puritans are 100% pro-gooner only as long as you don't do it in a "deviant" way. I think if your thought processes involved in this are exactly as described, you've probably been taken in by braindead memes and zeitgeist that's obscuring your ability to think clearly on this. Most of these patrons on here only have experience of women from social media reels. They don’t see women much outside of that.
