Can anyone explain to me the difference between leftypol and leftychan please? Were they the same once upon a time, and eventually split in true leftist tradition?

posted it again award

its kinda like the imageboard version of trotskyites where leftychan claim the orge is a an authoritarian wasteland and they're the true and pure left imageboard without mod totalitarianism and liberalism. but then you find out everything they just critiqued the stalinists for is perfectly fine as long as there guy does it instead and the organization if filled with people who got kicked out other orgs for being annoying with a persecution compex.

im new here glowie, I googled the question but found nothing. Would you be so kind to tell me the story behind the two lefties?

>>41302
thank you. Is there a tendency specific to both? As in, does one tend to be more anti-stalin while the other pro-stalin, or pro/anti-anarchist etc?
Or is it just like trotskyites, where they are identical but they just split because why the fuck not?

To understand the .org vs .net divide you have to get into older site history, specifically the end of bunkerchan, because it comes in part from that.

Basically though, some of the staff felt like the site should run differently under their plan so they simply put the server under a new domain (.net), but they failed to consider that the user end only accesses the server through the domain (.org) so the remaining staff (which was the majority) was able to put a copy of the site on a new server and restore function after a couple days. A lot of users just left because they thought the site died. Very few migrated because how would they even know? (.net tried to correct this later by spamming advertising on .org but to little effect) Ultimately it just cause a sharp decrease in users and functioned as a self-exile of the .net people. And .net turned out as a cesspit with the most reactionary users (even worse than Z posters somehow).

I would drop a link the united chans wiki but it looks like they got deleted(RIP wtf). I would say its more like trotskyites where its pretty much identical with even about the same ratio of ML to anarchist to everything else. >>41306 has a good analysis it was less of ideological split and more on competing views of how to run the imageboard community. its kinda in the name with leftychan being the more halfchan like of two and leftypol being more like anoncafe or trashchan to some extent. I suppose in that respect a split is fine so people who wanna shitpost like there on /b/ and those who just want to a comfy but slow discussion with e pen pals can both have there own site.

Mod politics and users who don't like how one site is moderated

Leftypol has an anti-idpol and anti-incel rule, leftychan is the splinter where idpol and incel stuff are the prime focus.

leftychan is for great threads like this

this makes me think I will not like leftychan

leftychan isn't idpol unlike the pedo /GET/fags and twitter users
twitter users would say that they're incels tho and there are soyjak users there
