hey faggots, earlier today I saw a thread where someone had posted that the problem with the US left is the "third worldists" and "anarchists", that it would be historically progressive for the US govt to crack down on these groups violently because it would somehow lead to the resurgence of ML organizing in the US (lmao), and this made me wonder something: why are most of you even here?
leftypol these days is like a potemkin village of pseudo"leftists", the vast majority of which clearly don't read theory (and certainly don't organize) or do much of anything as far as I can tell other than post in irrelevant terminally online "leftist" niches and have views that are barely distinguishable from /pol/. I don't mean like in terms of "idpol" but like the ways most of you think seems to very clearly be motivated by the exact same sorts of idealistic nonsense as reactionaries; you simply substitute some signifiers with those of historical (and dead) communist movements, or those of other countries while having zero skin in the game with their struggles yet seem to think it's of the utmost importance to have the correct opinions on them. but in either case there's seemingly no understanding of how to actually apply the theories of Marx (et al.) towards practical ends, if only on the basis of everyday life and how you think and analyze the world, which is like literally the whole fucking point of what made Marx abandon idealism.
I genuinely can't understand what you people get out of posting here. is it autism? mental illness?
