every other leftist site is an over-moderated hellhole where the jannies ban for WrongThink. /leftypol/ despite periods of time when the jannies become overbearing has always been better in this regard.

This. There's a lot of not-so-nice things I have to say about the jannies, namely that they're the most incompetent people that I've ever seen running a website. That being said, it could be far worse. Namely, that we could be having MTWs banning people for daring to question Sakaiism-BadEmpandaism.

I like to imagine most people still around have been since the 8chan days. I still love this place, but it used to be so much more fun when it was more active. Quality of discussion might seem low sometimes, but it's so much better than other places plus the imageboard format is unbeaten imo. I wish we could successfully shill the site to a new audience to breath some new life into it.
