Wow, I didn't expect to see The Urinals mentioned on leftypol one day. I haven't listened to them in a long while, but they are a pretty fun band.
Have you listened to their follow-up band 100 Flowers, named after Mao's campaign? They played more straightforward post-punk songs, but I think their sole album is pretty good.

I rarely listen to punk at home unless I need to blow off steam, but one of my favorite punk album/compilation is This Is Boston, Not L.A. which notably includes a few tracks from a band called The Proletariat, which had Marxist lyrics and played pretty tightly, I heartily recommend it.

Thanks for the recommendations! I have listened to 100 flowers and i love them as well, however i haven't listened to them as extensively as i did with the urinals. I'd like to see them perform one day, though I don't think thats likely as they seem to only perform in the US

This song is cute and started my morning with a smile, hell yeah. I'll make sure to give their albums a listen once my left ear injury clears up.

Punk confounds me because lot of the conversation around it is always over purity, fashion, attitude, and a bunch of weird genres some people hate over others, some bands that cause mix feelings like the Sex Pistols or Ramones, and people arguing whether the whole thing is right wing or left wing
but then I hear a random punk band singing about how america sucks and capitalism is a scam and I just think, man these uyghas are alright

I fucking love this album and need to post it somewhere. Classic shit about killing cops, fuck America, and steal shit. Even has random fucking Micheal Parenti quotes placed around.

I honestly cannot be bothered to listen to them. I'm sure they are great, but im happy with the taste i cultivated for myself, which through its constant changing I may once sit down and listen to them. Listen to what you want to listen is what i say
