So given the recent death of Brian Wilson, Kanye finally disclosing his diagnosis, and the Diddy trial unleashing all sorts of reports on abuse in the music industry, I have to wonder if a large number of well-known artists are autistic. Not only would this explain why so many famous musicians fall into mental health decline and drug addiction (addiction is VERY common with autism), but it would also explain the widespread abuse in the music industry and why so many artists are easily exploited and taken advantage of.
Think about it. A lot of autistic people are musically gifted. Mozart, for instance, is heavily speculated to have been autistic. Autistics are usually very sensitive to sound and have very good musical ears as a result. This would explain why so many musical geniuses are often times plagued by mental breakdowns, drug/alcohol addiction issues, self-destructive behaviours, and other things indicative of autism.
Plus, autistic people are VERY easy for others to take advantage of since they don’t always understand social cues or read between the lines when it comes to the words/behaviours of others. This would explain why there’s widespread abuse and exploitation of musicians by record labels, industry higher-ups, etc. How do we know most of the people whom Diddy was pimping weren’t autistic?
I also remember watching a clip where Jaguar Wright said half of hip hop is autistic and I questioned if it was really that low. I’m guessing at least 75-80% of rappers and hip hop producers are autistic (Kanye, Eminem, and Questlove come to mind).
>>15656That doesn't mean autism is the same as BPD, retard. Same goes with disorders even more similar to autism like ADHD. You can actually map what parts of the corresponding neurology align with each.
>>15657Of course a pop psych troglodyte would reduce this shit to vibes and aura.

Personalization
Rigid thinking
Inability to understand nuance
Main character syndrome
Take your pick.
>>15652>>15653>>15655Mind my asking, but wouldn't autistic people want there to be more autistic people in the world (or more famous figures coming out as autistic) on the basis that the more autistic people that exist the more society would have to rearrange itself so that the autistic brain would be prioritized?
What's wrong with stating that Brian Wilson, Kanye West, or other famous musicians are/were autistic? Isn't it better that autism is associated with geniuses and seen as a gift, rather than a deficit?
