>>726502Fedi is pretty low maintenence. I don't talk much on there but people are nice to me. Instance I use even has an oekaki feature in the post composer for on the whim doodling.
There's even a site for finding good furry instances:
https://www.furryfediverse.org/>obviously, draw some shit and upload it but who wants to look at inoffensive but not-good sfw art? I did a bunch of drawings of my fursona doing chores I needed to get done as a way to get myself out of art block, and people liked them. I imagine if they were more skillful peices they'd catch more attention, and later on I may revisit the idea with more skill, but it got me out of art block and was acknowledged by a couple friends, so I'm happy with them.
There's an artist on misskey (
https://misskey.io/@necosuke) that makes really cool pics of anime women with specific bikes. Not naked or anything, just both subjects drawn well, and they consistently get a lot of interaction.
>how do you express interest in being friends without being a creep.Never got good at that either, but a mixture of people approaching me with that intent and me just hanging out with mutuals has resulted in me having a healthy number of friends. Much easier to be approached and just maintain than to approach and maintain.
>how do you respond to comments without being a jerk or weird. If it's a question then you can answer. I find small talk difficult but liking a post a sufficient substitute.
>how do i get hobbies and interests i can talk about.I think a lot of interests I have now are a byproduct of me getting into Linux or me trying to self-teach stuff the burger education system failed me on.
- drawing: learned about krita when I first got into linux mint, and I remember there was some assignment I failed in kindergarden where you had an obfuscative paper on your pencil, and needed to draw a square spiral that didn't intersect itself without looking under the paper, and my child ass had no motor skills. I feel like if I get good at art I'll have recovered from that.
- math: wasn't good at math classes (was good at math, not the grind work) until about highschool, and even though highschool had calculus and trig I was never assigned it, and college only had them as on-campus-only electives that I never got around to due to covid. Various programs have helped me catch us somewhat.
- etc…
>how do i express interest in the hobbies and interests of others, which i know nothing about but would like to be talked-at about, without being weird?I assume that's why people list off interests in their bio or pinned posts.
>how do i stop overthinking?Still struggle with that myself
