Nothing feels worth doing now that AI can do it both better and faster.
>>760919AI requires manual editing and preexisting data
Meh, I still haven't had the urge to replace my human music or literature with AI and no amount of abstract theorizing has convinced me that I should.
water debt in 3 years
>>760986If AI is soulless so is most human made art
>>760986Maybe. I don't like speculating about what AI could ever or never do. I just find it silly when people try to convince me that we're already "there".
>>760988Irrelevant. So much art has been made and continues to be made by humans that even the cream of the crop is plentiful. I don't have to choose between mediocre human art and mediocre AI art. That argument does not work here.
AI should mainly be used to make lust inducing images. I'm really liking those videos of chicks spreading their legs and folding like pretzels.
>>760989Of course art continues to be made by humans. The problem is that people wanna label things “soulful” or “soulless” just by mere origin.
AI requires manual editing anyway.
It’s not autonomous magic machine
>>761008Ai needs manual editing and yet still looks like shit
>>760998It already programs better than me.
>it's "automating" your coworkers in the other departments and never the job your department does directlyThis is not true for programmers.
>>760919make her peeing herself
ai cant make my bpd ex girlfriend love me again
>>760919@grok give her a dental floss bikini
>>760986>le souls>le mockery of le naturewhy do you bluesky faggots always have to talk like fucking retards
also youre on a fucking porn thread whining about AI slop. like yeah of course AI isnt gonna replace good art, only twitter artists drawing furry and anime garbage 👍
>>761020That's unfortunate, but also I find it facinating that you feel confident to gauge what "better" programming looks like but not employ that yourself.
>>761220Would you say that to a painter that feels like never living up to Monet?
>>761226yes,crying about never being able to become the best at something is the biggest retardation in every hobby
the only things I wad good at (system stufff) is nkw clmpletely devoid of any joy, my job and capitalism in general has squeezed the last bit out of me.
I should have kept going with my angsty teen self ideas and abandon any pretense of trying to integrate in society, destruction is the only path forward
>>760919Maybe do something other than digital slop. You know in real life.
>>761249Real life doesn't exist anymore, they got rid of it.
>>761202t. retarded loser who cant just plainly state "ai is slop" without appealing to bullshit like souls or nature
>>761247I wonder when it's too late to drop out, this normal life shit sucks hard.
>>760986i know like 10 dudes irl that look like that
machines ruined working
CCTV cameras ruined having fun
AI ruined art
what the FUCK else arr we supposed to do
>>761293Stay at home and stare in space.
>>761293You're suffering from bohemian brain rot..
Machines didn't ruin anything, humans did.
Also, why are you advocating for delinquency as fun?
>>761275Lick my stinkhole and I'll grant you a wish
>>761293AI didn't touch smoking weed
>>761226Sorta. In the case of art if you can tell something is better then you can problem solve towards adopting those better practices yourself.
In the case of programming that seems even more direct: if you can even tell it is better, then you already know why and how to apply that.
>>761020By better I presume you just mean it does it faster and easier, which it absolutely does, but AI writes pretty mediocre code most of the time.
>>761489Nobody cares if the code is mediocre if it works.
>>762357absolutely not true if you're on a team,if it wastes 10 minutes to read your garbage every time
>>762390Just make your clanka read it.
>>762357spoken like someone who's never had to do pr review
>>762357If it's a script you use yourself for less than 5 seconds at a time, sure. The moment it's has to run for more than 5 seconds or is pushed to production it does matter because those inefficiencies add up.
Sorry for the fleshtuber but remembered this example of a single line of code being load bearing.
>>761253>has to make constant cuts with a schizophrenic script because AI is incapable of being consistentWhoever """made""" this might think they're cheeky by using comedy but this ONLY works as comedy. It has to rely on novelty and absurdity. It can't make anything serious or real.
The only reason anyone would be impressed by this is because a lot of modern movies are also ridiculous slop so the quality gap isn't as massive as it should be.
But compared with any half-decent film it's dogshit.
>>761293Become biofuel as Peter Thiel intends.
>>762357It absolutely DOES matter from a security standpoint you retard.
AI slop code is absolutely full of holes that are already being exploited.
>>762419and it's not that humans don't write code like that, it's just that ai code is much harder to verify and maintain and gets churned out with much greater intensity.
but the ship has sailed, most professional programmers never really cared about code quality (there's little incentive to, tbf) and are not going to voluntarily give up on the tool that makes their jobs a thousand times more chill.
>>762461>But compared with any half-decent film it's dogshit.Half decent films cost tens of millions. That clip costs 2$.
>>763003Why is it ok for women to use sexual AI but not men?
>>763010Same as the stigma around gooning. Empower vs loser
>>762468>it's just that ai code is much harder to verify and maintain and gets churned out with much greater intensity.>but the ship has sailed, most professional programmers […] are not going to voluntarily give up on the tool that makes their jobs a thousand times more chill.Well yeah. It's like a pitcher plant. Proprietary code quality is going to take an unrecoverable nose dive while projects made by people that just want the computer to work will rise.
This might create a kepler effect where it becomes impossible professionals to get anything working because of all the unvetted mistakes within any proprietary tooling that exists or will ever exist.
Computers will become a toy exclusively for nerds as no serious buisness will consider the idea of hiring a programmer.
AI is deeply flawed, you can almost always tell when it's AI and it's becoming more flawed due to only having other AI images to source, it may be faster but the cold indifference of AI will never overcome the indomitable spirit of the proletariat
>>763010it's "not ok" for men to use sexual AI = people on the internet shit on you for it
stop being a pussy
>>763009that clip cost significantly more than $2 to generate, it was just subsidized by venture capital. of course the full cost of generating a whole film is still significantly less than making one normally, but given the quality difference it's like bragging that a machinima cost $20 to make while disney's 3d animations cost hundreds of millions
