Site closes as twitter is better at facilitating a userbase of twitter users than a non-twitter site, removing the responsibility of moderating the main site.

I'm yet to find any Mastodon instance that's significantly culturally distinct from existing Twitter niches (that are much easier to find and join and are much more active). Using it is just a weird form of virtue signaling tbh, you basically have to not care about the social aspect of social media.
