The leftypol twitter account be following a bunch of transhumanists. Not complaining especially since many of them are erudite communists but it's kind of funny.
That's the end goal of making a site into a twitter suburb.
- Import twittlerite ideology until you have a user base that doesn't remember what digital grass feels like
- Userbase slowly uses twitter instead of main site
- Site closes as twitter is better at facilitating a userbase of twitter users than a non-twitter site, removing the responsibility of moderating the main site.
It's not a coincidence that it's Misato, one of the mods, running it.

Using it is just a weird form of virtue signaling tbh, you basically have to not care about the social aspect of social media. Also why are you going to it expecting a different culture–whatever that even means on a site with no algorithm, just follow people with the vibes you want if you're picky–when the point of fedi is structural rather than cultural? Sure, culture is downstream from structure, but it's not like fedi's structure is the only thing people are drawing from.
