Same reason fashion trends change, only people who began at the start of the trend or during it's popularity you hear about, not outside it because it's commodification potential is reduced also times change so the intuition that birthed it is hard to grasp it, just like how you can learn all about something in theory but it lacks the depth without experiencing first hand
