Except worse because the cake only made one duplicate of itself after 24 hours, whereas here the offer is that the money doubles every day. Meaning for the cake its 1+1+1+1 (if each new cake is eaten) each day whereas the money is 1+2+4+6+12 towards infinity. The cake only has a multiplier if not eaten.

At some point the money would be too much to destroy inevitably. Whereas the cake can just be eaten to prevent a multiplier of duplicates. The money offer always has a multiplier and doesn't stop. Everything that exists will eventually be crushed by it.

It seems so.
It seems there is at least a multiplier because
1 doubles into itself - the double will also double since it is also itself and posses the same qualities. So in the third day you won't have 3 you will have 4.
Imagine actually spending it - potentially losing a dollar which duplicates. How many can you keep track of until its too much to handle? The earth and everything that exists will be crushed by dollars.

The problem with the door on the right is its description. Is it:

Scenario A would be:
<start with a dollar; 24 hours later have two dollars; 24 hours later have 4 dollars; 10 days later have 480 dollars, etc.
Scenario B would be:
<start with a dollar; 24 hours later have two dollars; 24 hours later have three dollars; 10 days later have 10 dollars, etc.

The rate at which the supply is increased is really the crux of the issue here. If scenario A, what's stopping me from capping my supply by anticipating what the doubled amount would be and destroying excess dollars by incinerating them like Hitler's ghost?
