What exactly explains the whole “liberal-dating-a-fascist” phenomenon?
Certainly, there has to be a material explanation aside from “liberals are just fascists in disguise” notion. Speaking as a cis woman, whenever I see something like this it’s only ever liberal/progressive women dating right-wing men. I have never seen a left-wing man with a right-wing woman, ever. What explains this?
What explains this is that women are not naturally conservative. Any conservative woman is that way BECAUSE of the man she's with. Conservative women aren't likely to be single anyway. And if she is conservative she's not going to date some man she thinks is a 'weakling lefty' or whatever they think.
Because, regardless of what incel forums tell you, women are the ones most likely to settle in a relationship than men. Good women will date mediocre men out of pity but a hood man would never, ever date a mediocre woman for the same reason.

I don't think a leftist woman would ever marry a liberal or a conservative man either. In any case I don't really think it's much of phenomenon. Anybody raised in liberal bourgeois culture tends to be conservative and sit within the prosperity gospel of modern capitalism, same as how you tend to speak the language of the culture you live under. Whether you're a "liberal" or "conservative" you still take your cues from the culture of the superstructure. These two types aren't that different, we're just raised to believe that they are.
To continue on with the vibes based analysis ITT I think it might be that right-wing, conservative beliefs are associated with masculinity while left-wing, progressive beliefs are associated with femininity and so naturally women will seek out men with the more masculine traits and vice versa.

It's always "liberal" (generally non-black) women dating rightists. This is because women generally don't have strong political convictions, especially when they're not particularly affected by the matter.

The "male loniless epidemic" is largely caused by this: men demanding women be held to the highest expectations all while doing nothing to change themselves so that they would be appealing to a female partner. Then these same men complain about "hypergamy" and insist women wanting better men is "eugenics". As if anyone wants to breed with a brokey in the first place (how is he supposed to provide for a child if he's fucking broke?).
