Do you guys ever read fiction? What's your favorite genre?

BNWO, WNWO, BWC, MNWO etc

>>774821
Should I be glad that I don't know what any of those genres are?

I'm reading Five Decembers right now. Breddy good

>>774822
Do not use the spurdo flag while i am also using it, thanks.

I read surreal fiction or something that is set in a modern-historical setting with nothing about romance. Immediately reading Shuggie Bain btw

>>774837
great, i used auto-fill

>>774820
marxists dont read fiction

I only read sci-fi. I sometimes read 'speculative fiction' and 'prehistoric fiction' but really these are very small genres and 99.9% of fiction I read is sci-fi. I would rather die than read that 'literary fiction' RUBBISH.

I live French avantgarde, absurdism, existentialism, pataphysics.

Based, same. My favourite genre is 'first contact' between aliens and humans but I've read basically all the good ones already

>>774820
Visual novels or video games with a strong story of that counts, otherwise I read non-fiction and mythology in books

>Atheist Fantasy
>Philip Pullman instead of H.P. Lovecraft or R R Martin

As Brandon would have said: “C’mon man!”

Wait, Lewis was a protestant? I always though he was Catholic.

>>774855
he was part of the club at oxford with tolkien which is why you probably thought he was catholic, but he became protestant, to tolkein's dismay

>>774841
What are some good science fiction to read? Also how is it different from speculative fiction?

>>774875
If you want to start with older stuff I recommend The Forever War (anti-war response to Starship Troopers) and Rendevous with Rama (the best Arthur C Clarke book IMO).

>>774907
Did you ever read Foundation? What did you think of it?

>>774875
I liked Hyperion a lot

>>774958 (me)
Red Mars is always very interesting. I haven't read red rising yet, but it's on my list

>>774848
Same here. I very rarely read nowadays. I do enjoy some good horror fiction though. Dracula, Frankenstein, Carmilla etc.
I remember finding A Song of Ice and Fire quite boring. Like a soap opera of rich people being stupid. Not my cup of tea.

Black New World Order
White? New World Order
Big White Cock
Muslim? New World Order
>>774824
why?

>>774958
I hated Hyperion. The first story with the priest and the parasite was very good but all the other were trash and the ending was the dumbest cliffhanger ever.
