I mean, work is supposed to be a necessary evil, like hygiene. nobody really wants to do it, but it needs to get done, because if it doesn't, bad shit will happen and/or you won't be able to maintain a certain quality of life, right? so work will have to be done, regardless of the economic system in place. the only silver lining is that 1) eventually most work will be automated and 2) the work that isn't automated, under communism, will be handsomely rewarded with headpats and lots of good things like a quality life in exchange for your contributions.

But work could be hunting and fishing and gathering like actual free people instead of working in a factory or sitting at a chair for 8 hours a day which is only possible because of centuries of enclosure and destruction of nature and absurd population growth dependent on said factories.
