I live in the United States and I have never traveled outside of the United States before and for me it is extremely mundane to see American flags displayed outside peoples houses and on bumper stickers, I just found out today that apparently this is uncommon outside of the United States! I went on google earth and went into street view in suburban areas in random countries and no country did I see people display flags like this except for Turkey and Israel and even then it wasn’t as prevalent although google earth isn’t the best way of tracking this stuff. So are there other countries that do this?

I thought the South would the highest not the northeast. Maybe they prefer the Confederate flag.

Here people only put out flags for national holidays and even that is rare. Bumper tickers are more common.

>national holidays
Don't forget major sporting competitions like the World Cup™

I feel like in Europe it is considered kind of trashy. I guess because flying national flags is mostly associated with football and hockey fans.

In Brazil we see country flags displayed sometimes but it's a bolsonarista thing and pretty much a new thing from the last 8 years. Before that, it was easier to see state flags or football team flags instead of the country flag.
As an anecdote, my neighbor had a Brazilian flag displayed and changed it for an Israeli flag last year.

prots be like
>catholics worship idols!!!
then proceed to worship a piece of fabric

In Spain you can see some, not on poles, just hanging on the window.
There is also this recent thing, of young (16-20) males putting a flag in their backpacks, they all follow the same ratio and size. I have seen some spanish ones, a nicaraguan one and I think another one, these IRL. Only I have seen a Carlist one
