Rent prices in the city I'm looking at are incredibly high. I have family up there that will let me stay, but their situation isn't much better.
It seems impossible to live by yourself on the wages I'm looking at for unskilled labor. Are familial homes the only answer? Like, large familial homes.
Unless you have a good income it's basically friends and family or living with a bunch of roomates. Maybe getting a romantic partner if you can get one of those.
