Is there even such thing as centrism?!?!

>>779914
honk honk danks foar dat :D
wuz beri beri fahnney desu :P
wuld watch agen an agen :DD
alrite bai see u next dime!!!! :DDDDD

bc we live under capitalism

Centrists are merely neoliberals or upholders of the status quo, these are your mainstream parties think Republican and Democrat, they aren't rightwing (or leftwing) by any means..

I'm a centrist on the abortion question: I think everyone pro-choice should be allowed to have abortions, and everyone pro-life should be forbidden from having them.

what I don't get about centrists is how do they not realize what the political center is even defined as is completely different depending on the time, place and material conditions. Plenty of modern centrists would've been branded as a radical jacobinite hellbent on the destruction of society and christendom for not being a monarchist or judeo-bolshlevik backstabbers for not wanting there arm ripped off by machinery half way through an 18 hour shift. ig a generous reading is the idealism is preventing from thinking of things in an actual historical context like commodity fetishism but for reality in general but tbh most of these people would've supported jim crow at the time since that was the respectable center position between lynchings and integration to them.

Yes, centrism depends on the context I guess.

I don't know how you can be a centrist almost, that itself is it's own ideology almost in a way. I guess you could say I am a centrist, I have even taken a complicated political compass test and I get pretty close to the middle oddly enough. I would say I lean towards the left though.

I'll myself as an example. I hate capitalism but I don't think the West should completely get up all of it's power. I am sort of a anarchist libertarian socialist but also somewhat of a nationalist. I'm not really extreme by any means and compared to most leftists I almost seem conservative. Oddly enough though I tried talking to conservatives about my take on politics and it's still not good enough for them. Like I am not against the idea of selling and buying things completely, I don't want to stop production completely, I don't want to take away working class people's job, but it's not good enough! what the fuck do conservative want than? I can't believe these people condone fucking classism so much and inequality. They're probably just horrible hate-filled racists when it really comes down to it.

Anyway, centrists being right wing? I don't know, I think it's just because it takes a lot for people not to be greedy scumfuck capitalists I don't know why it's so hard for people to go beyond capitalism. A lot of people are highly irrational and don't care if they are actually right in reality, they just want tribal acceptance and group-frenzy.

holy fuck I don't know why I made so many typos and shit there forgive me.

Centrism for me just makes me think a lot about liberals in general. They are the most centrist group. It's like how when you look up what places are considered the "most liberal" to live, you have no idea if they mean leftist at all as well, but most places probably are in fact "liberal" more than actually leftist. Capitalism is still the dominate economic mode for some reason. It's because of propaganda too.

Well first of all, you have the existing problem of these really powerful elite which would dwarf the kings of old in scale, so how would you deal with these people and their influence worldwide

Secondly, how would you implement communism, for me you would need the technology for such a transition maybe we just haven't developed it yet

Although I myself am not really in favor of technological progression because I worry about who, in the end, will get control of it. It may even be the technology itself which supersedes us all.

I don't know if it is clear enough but I am a real Marxist. I believe the proletariat should own the means of production. Simple as that. I am a bit of a social democrat in some ways too, because I am worried a total revolution would lead to all the power being concentrated in the state.

Otherwise I don't see why you would need to rely on technology. It wouldn't be all that different than how things are now. If you didn't realize I said, I don't think the West should completely give away all it's power. So that would factor into geo-politics, global affairs, and internationalism and what is decided overall. I am all about decentralizing government. One reason I don't fully believe in a border less world is because for one, how would you deal with the police? can you imagine a global police force? no offense, but I think that would be terrible. Also problems like, if there was no borders at all, everybody would try to live in places with the nicest weather, like Florida or California. But I am not completely a nationalist. Short term I am, but long term, in the distant future I think we can make enough progress maybe to where we don't need borders as much for sure, and maybe the world could be one. It is one of my dreams for the world to live in peace and harmony, unfortunately I think that's almost beyond politics and for me the type of peaceful world that I would favor or prefer would probably a little bit closer to how the bible sees it.

But unfortunately I think there will probably always be wastelands that some people should inherit or live in. I am not completely against the West's history, I wouldn't entirely discard it.

So as you can see that is all somewhat "centrist" I guess. I just really want to free the proletariat and let them decide what is best for themselves. If they don't want to work as much, Than I think that's fine, if they do want to work, than I think that's fine as well. I am not like, I am not condoning that we should all live like Native Americans or something. I think that would be nice in some ways but not completely. But I think that's what a lot of people would think is best for the proletariat. But I think they should be self empowered.

I just felt like mentioning

Even though I believe in borders a bit, I really would be for encouraging and trying to foster a proletariat movement across the entire world and I would really want to them to empower themselves everywhere, and for them to adopt their own socialist systems.

And I think eventually, after more parts of the world achieve this, than I think we could get closer to chipping away at borders. Maybe. That's partially why I don't think the West should give away all it's power for sure, because the plan would be to first achieve real Marxist proletariat liberation in the West (but who knows how long that would take) it's a massive undertaking though.

And than I think with all their power they could contribute to help the rest of the world find and seek liberation, with their power and resources. That would be one of the best strategies I think.

Of course I feel bad. I've lived in really liberal places before, and they were really different, and it was so nice I liked it and everything. When I lived in Montreal, it was very leftist I would say. It was great. That's why I almost want to forget everything and give into it all. But I am a little hesitant and wonder if taking away borders entirely is really that plausible though. I am not a white supremacist by any means though or anything like that. I don't think white people are superior.

Thinking about this makes me think of primitive things, because I think the idea of like freeing the proletariat is probably inherently seen as some type of primitive thing.

Honestly I think I kind of agree with you nowadays, I used to be recently kind of an idpol guy myself after realizing things about certain groups of people but I now see this overarching postmodern technological system as more of a threat in itself to everyone in common, especially myself, and so I have now placed this as my highest priority to, I suppose, revolutionize

But I would be just as happy if it was just done away with or collapse in some way and humans naturally created another social contract afterwards

It's so odd how you migrate from position to position after you experience, firsthand, how things actually are as opposed to what you think they are

this is a funny video
