I know they're awful if you're a schizo who's concerned about privacy (I was a real bad case of one) but I want to go back to Discord and Twitter. I left them a long ass time ago but I don't think I'm cut out for this real life thing. Also I still get posts from old e-friends on the few profiles I didn't deactivate from time to time.
No one would bump this
I use nitter to browse twitter accounts I like. The platform really isnt designed for two way communication, there are handful of biger posters who get engagement and everyone else is just there as an extra.
The social part of internut is pretty much dead outside of discord/xitter/tiktok/instagram. And even xitter lost a ton of (young) people, it's becoming a geriatric app. Tiktok is also declining in a similar fashion.
>>781854Just stop worrying about your data, the glowies would be able to get it anyway. Currently the UK is going to give a contract to Palantir to work the NHS IT systems, so Peter Thiel will have unencrypted access to every citizens full personal details and lifetime medical history. What's the point in obsessing over what apps you use? It was over before it even begun
>>782314opsec is still important but yeah, the feds are busier manually making schizos go on shootings than curating the absurd amounts of data they have these days, and if they ever actually get to use that information theyd have to send pretty much everyone to jail
>>782314my countrys so shite scammers have easy access to literally all of our personal data including home address because every year the governments databases leak
go indulge. the solution to the problems of these platforms is not to demand discipline from weak pathetic people such as yourself. you cannot be counted on for anything. instead the solution is top down regulation. the enforcement of standards that leave you with no choice but good options to use.
>>782675i bet all of your personal data has already been harvested while you think youre le epic hacker
>>782675>>782682arriving at the correct conclusion for the wrong reasons. the same way whining about consumption is useless when production shapes it
