I wish i was a hobbit in the shire, it sounds great

  • 10 meals a day
  • piss about doing nothing all day but eating, drinking, smoking; maybe pursue a craft at your leisure
  • SEXO with the hobbit women

This is what i imagine life under communism will be like

This is bourgeois

What’s with leftists wanting communism to be about mindless self indulgence despite whining about the bourgeois?

>>783834
>having fun is bourgeois

>>783835
>mistaking fun for constant self indulgence

>>783835
This is coming from the same board that thinks porn and phone fun is bad

>>783836
Ok, what do YOU do for fun then?

>>783838
Nature walks, drawing, writing

>>783836
I mean is that really so different?

>>783841
And you never eat, drink, or have sex!

>>783845
Again you’re mistaking overindulgence for moderate indulgence

Irony is, people overindulge more on TV than with sex tbw

>>783843
If what you say is true, why do people take offense to seeing young people consuming electronic entertainment?

>>783841
Hobbits do this also

>>783841
Sounds like hobbit activities.

>>783846
you're indulging by being on here right now. stones in glass houses moment

>piss about doing nothing all day but eating, drinking, smoking; maybe pursue a craft at your leisure
Hobbits do have to work actually. The Baggins' are just loaded so they themselves don't really have to, but others do. Sam is Frodo's gardener for example. But yeah, Tolkien was basing the Shire on an idealized version of rural England where nobody has to work too much (and can do so at their own pace), social hierarchies are benign and non-oppressive, and society is generally harmonious. It's something of a reactionary fantasy really, but at the same time is probably closer to how an agrarian socialism would be in practice.

>>783833
wasn't the shire actually feudal? weren't there lords and privileged families and shit? weren't some hobbits indentured servants?

>>783869
Yeah but I would be the lord and privileged family so it's OK

>>783869
Feudal is a bit much, but yes Frodo was an aristo
