are "rights" real? Do they exist?
Rights are generated and suppressed by society or the state, but in a pristine state of nature a human has a right to do anything they want but doesn't necessarily mean it's beneficial or bad.
They exist inasmuch as the government exists to enforce it
>>788692>do social constructs existyes, but only as social constructs
No, they’re a spook. You and anyone else (me included) never had rights, only a set of laws the state can rescind whenever they want based on how much of a threat it poses to capital.
No, but life is easier if we pretend they do
not physically. but they are as real as ideas are real. as real as any other social construct is. as real as communism, justice, mathematics etc.
>>788751Some social constructs are real. Others aren’t
Also what you mean is abstraction.
>>788754can you provide examples of what a fake vs real social construct would be?
Obviously. Saying otherwise is pedantry.
>>788755The racial categorization we have used since the seventeenth century especially in the US
“White” in America is ethnic elsewhere
Or how about phrenology?
It uses a lot of abstractions that aren’t real.
