So, I've had a friend getting increasingly radicalized into generic white nationalism twitter nonsense and arguing with him just seems pointless. I genuinely tried my best but every time he concedes to something, it's like his factory reset setting turned on the next day. When he admits he knows nothing about a topic it doesn't phase him, because it's clear he WANTS to hate even if he can't rationally justify it. Oftentimes he's not even really arguing with me but with his twitter strawmen or something. Yes, I did bring up economics but you have to understand this is a person that only cares about being bigoted, the culture war, etc. I'm seeing it as a lost cause and that I have to drop him as a friend, honestly.

I believe I facts and logic'd my way into socialism, but it's probably environmental conditions somehow.
