I don't believe "femboy" to be the antonym of "tomboy". A tomboy is a woman who acts in a masculine way, rejecting the gender norms partriarchal society imposes on her. Femboys are more of a subculture than just men who act in a feminine manner. Most people in the femboy subculture tend to be reactionary, and men who act girly outside of that are almost always closeted transfems or "eggs".
Also, Japan didn't invent gender non-conformity.
