The biggest problem with climate change is that it destabilizes the climate. Atmospheric aerosol injections would make that much much much worse and they would also create a whole new class of pollution similar to microplastics that is inescapable by design.

I'm not sure if lab grown meat is actually less costly to produce than animal meat. speaking personally, i only eat meat/cheese once a week or so and otherwise eat vegan. so about 95% of my calories are vegan, so I don't really do it for ethical reasons so much as health reasons. but looking at the economics, I think it is something like 10 calories of plant matter to raise 1 calorie of beef. Luckily most of that will be grass, but the grassland used to feed cows could just as easily be used to grow crops. Now the cow manure does fertilize the ground, but I am not sure to what extent that is efficient, and modern agriculture relies on man made fertilizers, which are a geopolitical flashpoint right now since Russia produces most of them, and on top of that they pass through Hormuz just like oil does.
