Capitalism is the default when faced with scarcity of material resources; just because some midwit kvetched his whole life over it, and even coined a term for it, doesn't mean we will ever do away with "capitalism"
It just goes through periods of economic freedom (when people have the ability to produce things they need themselves easily) and economic enslavement (when people need expensive and/or complex systems/machinery to produce things they need)
Its not a particularly difficult conundrum, it just has phases that last multiple generations, which makes those without souls seethe incessantly
