a.) They noticed leftists advocate for railways, and therefore it has to be bad, as roightoids cant tolerate ambiguity, i.e. bad person having a good idea

c.) affordable public transit goes against their hierarchical worldview in which poors deserve to suffer and nothing should ever be done for their benefit
It's because they don't want to be around those who they deem inferior to them.
You essentially have to at least subsidize it with taxpayer money to build and maintain it, it's not interesting for investors at this juncture. Rightoids are constantly whining about China's network being unprofitable. Of course they don't care when other stupid things like military adventures, nuclear plants and slopcenters get funneled trillions of their taxes so it's not only that.
