Lost Highway is the only good Lynch film. Helped tremendously by Marilyn Manson and Rammstein.

All of his other movies blow dicks.

Blue Velvet was painfully kitschy and cringe. Kyle and Laura's acting was terrible. I disliked Twin Peaks for the same reason.

Have you seen Fire Walk With Me? I just might watch it because I heard it was really grim and dark.

I've heard that complaint before, and I don't even disagree, but it works for me. The whole thing is already supposed to be uncomfortable and the acting is uncanny in a way that I think fits.
I haven't seen Twin Peaks in ages, and I never saw Fire but it's been recommended to me by people with generally good taste.
