If abortion is not seen as murder because the fetus cannot survive outside the mothers body, why should it be seen as murder to unplug life support for permanently comatose people?
People in a vegetative state are basically dead already as they need a machine to do all their bodily processes for them and there is no way to gain their cognition back, not currently anyway, so it should be legal to unplug them.
I think we argument we should be having is should it be legal to keep brain dead people alive when they’re prime organ harvesting candidates.
