My question is simple: Why are Americans so retarded? This retardation isn't even new, it dates back to before the 20th century, ever since the dawn of the country as a whole. This year we are "Celebrating" 250 years of American retardation. Even when the US was genuinely the most progressive nation of its time (It had weak competition, to be clear) it still produced a profoundly retarded population. Now for my presentation of perhaps the most solid evidence of AmeriKKKan retardation before the 20th century: the Civil War, especially the 1864 Presidential Election.

Put simply, during the Civil War there was a large number of pro-Confederate Quislings that desperately wanted to sabotage the Union war effort by any means necessary. And take note, I am talking about the people of the Union, not the Confederacy. A neighborhood in fucking New York City symbolically seceded and joined the Confederacy during the Civil War and riots in Manhatten saw Confederate sympathizers burn down black orphanages while slaughtering abolitionists and freedmen. The North was FILLED with traitors and turncoats and Quislings and Wang Jingweis who squirmed around and lied in wait for a chance to strike and guarantee victory to the Confederacy. How much of these were there? Maybe about 20% to 30% of the population, no joke. The Democratic party of the time (Since this was, of course, before the long and gradual political realignment that we know as the party switch) represented these cowards, who were known as the "Copperheads", although they called themselves the "Peace Democrats". A large chunk of Democrats were not Copperheads though, they were instead "War Democrats" but they were mostly pro-slavery and opposed to Lincoln. The 2 factions would attempt to unite in 1864 at the Democratic National Convention, where they nominated disgraced former Commanding General of the US army George B. McClellan as their candidate for President. McClellan was an immensely incompetent retard and was responsible for a multitude of military failures, such as the Union defeat in the Peninsula Campaign and the last straw that got him fired from his position in 1862, his failure to persue the Confederate army after they were repelled at Antietam. McClellan represented the War Democrats, and promised to win the war while preserving slavery. The Democratic party platform, however, claimed that the Civil War was "A failure" and it was necessary for the US to immediately surrender to the Confederacy. McClellan's running mate, George H. Pendleton, held the same position. Neither of these positions were even remotely logically sound, and both basically claimed that the Union was losing the Civil War and needed new leadership to either surrender or win. By the Presidential Election of 1864, the Union held pretty much all of Tennessee, all of the border states, captured most of Louisiana and Arkansas, drove the Confederates out of New Mexico Territory, all of Virginia's coast, much of the outer banks and even Atlanta. Jefferson Davis, the president of the Confederacy admitted to his government that 2/3rds of the Confederate military was literally just fucking gone because they gave up and went home. "CivilWar1" shows the military situation on the day of the 1864 presidential election. The military offensive you see in Tennessee would end in the Confederate army basically ceasing to exist west of Georgia. Needless to say, it was over for the Confederates. Also consult the National Union (Name of what was basically the Republican Party at the time) campaign poster in the image "How_the_War_Commenced_and_How_Near_It_Is_Ended". It is a detailed breakdown of how monstrously fucked the Confederacy was by that point in time.

But many Americans refused to see it. They are blind, deaf and dumb. The so-called "Journalists" of the Republic printed headlines every day that insisted that the war was lost and the Confederacy reigned supreme. They decried "Grant the Butcher" and lionized cowards. If I were Lincoln, I would have killed every last one of them.

In the end, 45% of Americans voted for McClellan. 45% of voters thought he was the right man to lead the nation. The platform of his party called for defeat to be snatched from the jaws of victory and he lost by only 10 points. It was, of course, a landslide victory for Lincoln regardless but for an election where the South simply could not vote, this was insanity. What moron could have possibly voted for McClellan? An American, that's who. Only an American could be so retarded as to vote for somebody like McClellan. What would McClellan have done had he won this election and walked into the Oval Office in March of 1865 while the military situation was as is shown in "CivilWar2" and tried to tell the public "Okay, enough losing, the MILITARY GENIUSES are here to save the day"? I can tell you what would have happened: Americans would buy it. Because Americans are retarded.

Case closed. The question, however, remains: why?
