What's your very favorite sandwich? Mine is tomato and mayo on toast. A truly great sandwich has minimal ingredients.
Peanut butter and nutella
toasted bread with cucumbers, mayo, salt and black pepper and some cheese, preferably goat cheese.

I like simple, salted butter on toast. Otherwise it's just too much effort may as well cook a proper meal.
On a more interesting note:

I have eaten various sandwiches though, avocado and salt and pepper, perhaps a little citric acid in the mix, pretty good same with bruschetta, all pretty simple.
On a more exotic note, natto with salt is absolute gas.
