if not latin, then use another language, like in japanese, some words for "dark" or "black" are: 黒 (kuro)、黒い (kuroi)、暗い (kurai)、濃い (koi)、闇 (yami)

examples: something based on candidum is a good one, candida is an invasive fungus you can find in the mouth, on the tongue, various places in the body, that appears like a white thrush. 'niveus' sounds like it could be adapted somehow
